A different approach to garden design and build
With more than 20 years’ experience, Jon has developed an instinctive and considered approach to garden design — combining what you need practically with the atmosphere and aesthetic you want, and the wilder, naturalistic planting Gold & Wild is known for.
We start with an initial consultation, then develop a clear concept using mood boards, sketches, materials and planting ideas. Where a project needs more detailed plans, we’ll develop them. Where it doesn’t, we can move more quickly from an agreed concept into the build.
Because the same team designs, builds and plants the garden, the original vision stays at the heart of the project from beginning to end.
Designed around your budget from the beginning
We believe one of the most important conversations should happen early: what do you want to invest in your garden? Rather than designing a garden and discovering later that it bears little relationship to your budget, we establish a realistic investment range from the outset.
That allows us to make informed decisions about materials, hard landscaping, existing features and planting — finding where your investment can make the greatest impact.
Our aim is simple: to create the best garden we can for the budget available.

Gold & Wild founder Jon Davies is an RHS Gold Award-winning garden designer, published author and plantsman with more than two decades of experience. His work has included designing on Main Avenue at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, alongside residential, public and community landscapes.
Jon leads the creative vision, supported by an experienced team of landscapers and gardeners who understand how Gold & Wild gardens are designed, built and planted.
